Piano concert at St. Matthew’s Sunday
Members of the Musica Dolce orchestra will open the season for the Jamestown Community Piano Association on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m., with Paul Rosenbloom at the piano. The concert at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church is the first of six in the association’s 13th season. Rosenbloom will open the concert with Mozart’s “Fantasia” in C minor. He will be joined by Rob Hayden on clarinet and Ted Mook on cello for Debussy’s “Valse Romantique” and three pieces by Brahms. Alexey Shabalin on violin will join Mook and Rosenbloom for a piano trio in B minor composed by Rosenbloom in 1976. The program will conclude with three piano pieces by Debussy, transcribed for piano, violin and cello by Rosenbloom. A reception in the church hall will follow the concert. Call 423-0515 for details.
