Engine show at steam museum on Saturday

The New England Wireless and Steam Museum will hold the Yankee Steam-Up, the region’s first engine show, on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. On display will be old steam and gas engines, antique automobiles, Stanley Steemers, motorcycles, self-power machines and launches, steam and compressed air for models, New England’s largest steam-up boiler, and giant working steam engines.

Admission to the show is $15. Parking is free and there will be lunch available at noon. The museum is located on 1300 Frenchtown Road in East Greenwich. All proceeds go to the upkeep of the museum. Call 885- 0545 to learn more. Volunteers are also needed.
