From Sept. 10 to Sept. 16, the Jamestown Police Department responded to 486 calls for service, resulting in 238 security checks of vacant homes, businesses and public buildings.

The police also responded to nine medical or fire calls, three motor-vehicle accidents, 10 animal complaints, one parking complaint, and 11 alarms. Officers conducted 79 traffic stops, resulting in three arrests and 22 traffic citations. Nineteen of the tickets were issued by officers assigned to a state enforcement campaign.

• Yuanicka Williams, 26, of Sand Turn Road, South Kingstown, was charged Sept. 14 for driving with a suspended license. According to police, Williams was pulled over for speeding on Route 138. Williams was transported to the police station where she was processed and issued a summons. A court date was scheduled for Nov. 27 at 2nd Division District Court in Newport.

• Javier Antonio Marquez, 41, of Lyman Avenue, North Providence, was charged Sept. 15 for driving without a license. According to police, Marquez was pulled over for speeding on Tashtassuc Road. Marquez was transported to the police station where he was processed and issued a summons. A court date was scheduled for Nov. 27 at 2nd Division District Court in Newport.

• Chelsea R. Longa, 25, of Tuckertown Road, Wakefield, was charged Sept. 16 for driving with a suspended license. According to police, Longa was pulled over for speeding on East Shore Road. Longa was transported to the police station where she was processed and released. A court date was scheduled for Oct. 4 at 2nd Division District Court in Newport.
