Vote at arts center for best short film
The Jamestown Arts Center will be among venues worldwide to screen the 10 finalists in the 16th annual Manhattan Short Film Festival. The movies will be shown on Friday, Sept. 27, and Saturday, Sept. 28, beginning at 8 p.m. Each member of the audience will be given a voting card upon entry and will be asked to vote for the film they think should win. The winner will be announced Oct. 6. This year, the festival received 626 entries from 48 countries. The films will be shown more than 800 times in more than 300 cities on six continents. Finalists range from 3 minutes to 18 minutes, and are set in many counties, including the United States, Finland, Australia, France, England and Ireland. Cost is $10 at the door.
