Last-second layup sends Rockets, Bulls into OT

The Rockets, Warriors and Lakers came away with victories in Saturday’s sixth week of the fall high-school basketball league being played at the recreation center.

The Rockets came back from an 18-point second-half deficit to pull off a 78-77 overtime win over the Bulls. Isaiah Butlet led the way for the Rockets (4-2) with 35 points, including the a layup with 1 second left in regulation to send the game into overtime. Teammate Stefan Peoples scored 21 of his 27 points in the second half and overtime, and also had seven steals. For the Bulls (2-4), Ryan Wirth and Chris DiClemente each scored 24 in the loss.

The Warriors improved to 6-0 on the season after a 57-43 win over the Celtics. Grant Gillis scored 29 points for the Warriors, and John Sullivan and Dan Flaherty each scored 13 for the Celtics (3-3).

In the third game, the Lakers beat the Raptors (1-5) after coming back from six points down with under two minutes. Leading the Lakers (2-4) to the 52-51 win were Cam Moniz and Alec Bedard with 19 and 17 points, respectively.
