Thanks for another successful tourney
September marked the 12th annual Peter C. Clarke Memorial Golf Tournament, which is held each year at Jamestown Golf Course in celebration of a life-long island resident.
Known to some as a golf buddy, and to others a historian, neighbor, father or coach, most would agree he is best remembered as a friend. Throughout his life he immersed himself in all things Jamestown, helping his fellow islanders and giving back to a community that he was so proud to be a part of.
Each year we are humbled by the generosity and support that the tournament receives and reflects how special Jamestown truly is. Thank you to all the participants who show up each year and make it such a special day. We are grateful to have such amazing support and would like to especially thank those that have gone above and beyond, including: Baker’s Pharmacy, East Ferry Deli, Phyllis Bedard, Jack and Mary Brittain, Closet Revival, Heineken USA, Jamestown Designs and Thomas O’Connell.
We would also like to thank B & L Perennials, Dr. Barron at Angell Street Dentistry, Conanicut Marine, Flynn Automotive, Frenchie’s, Jack’s Electric, Leeanand at Calma Salon, Lila Delman Real Estate, M.S. Walker, Michael Jacquard, Narragansett Flag and Pour Judgment.
We could not pull off such an amazing event without our stellar team of volunteers, including Amanda Gallagher, Pauline King, Antonia Mendes, Michael Casieri, Liam Malloy and Connie Clarke. We would also like to thank the Jamestown Golf Course, especially John Mistowski, for continued support over the past 12 years.
Thankfully, my father’s legacy continues through the hard work and dedication of the Peter C. Clarke Golf Tournament committee, which consists of Julie Brittain Swistak, Mark Swistak Jr. and Andy Donnelly. Over the past 12 years the fund has provided financial support to a number of local organizations and will continue to explore new projects that will benefit the community of Jamestown.
See you next year.
