Horror flicks on the big screen Thursday

Seven horror shorts will be shown at the Jamestown Arts Center on Thursday, Oct. 17, beginning at 7 p.m. The films are all submissions from the Rhode Island International Film Festival. Among the shorts is “Fools Day,” a 19-minute American film directed by Cody Blue Snider. The film is about a fourth-grade class that pulls an April Fools’ prank on its teacher with deadly consequences. Other countries represented will be Belgium, England, Australia and Spain. Cost is $10 at the door.
