Thanks for help with dog parade

I would like to thank all the children in fabulous costumes, as well as the dogs in creative costumes, at the Jamestown Fitness Halloween parade. The participants are what make the event so much fun.

I would like to thank everyone who helped organize the parade, especially Gail Arvidson, Erin Clarke, Sam Pease and Chris Pedorella. Also, thanks to the Jamestown Recreation Department for generous use of their stage, the police for traffic control, Kathy Brownell for judging, and Robin Monihan for all the great photos. All the photos are posted on Jamestown Fitness Center’s website and Facebook page.

Winners included the best small dog, won by Moxie, a corgi, dressed as a hula girl. Moxie is owned by Mary Mitchell. The best large dog was Tucker, dressed as a checkerboard. The best human and dog combination was the “sushi group,” made up of Gabe Reed, Hugo Reed and Noodle the dog. The best child costume was awarded to Agustina Dursi, who was dressed as a doctor.

Again, thanks to all who participated.
