Dine out, restaurant week starts Friday

Fifty-four restaurants from Newport and Bristol counties will participate during Newport Restaurant Week that begins Friday, Nov. 1. Cost is $16 for a threecourse lunch and $30 for a threecourse dinner. Jamestown Fish and Simpatico Jamestown are among the restaurants that will be on display.

Newport Restaurant Week is a biannual 10-day affair that showcases menus touting seasonal ingredients that embody the essence of dining in a coastal community. Five first-time participants will participate this year: Midtown Oyster Bar, Stoneacre Pantry, the Tavern on Broadway, Jo’s American Bistro, and Bluewater Bar and Grill.

“We’re really excited here at Jo’s American Bistro for our first Newport Restaurant Week,” said restaurateur Joann Carlson. “We look forward to seeing many new guests during the event.”
