Thanks for making concert successful
The Jamestown Community Chorus wishes to thank all the community partners and individuals who helped make our Dec. 14 concert, “JCC on the Air: A 1943 Radio Broadcast,” such a great success. Nearly every ticket was sold, and, despite the snow, nearly every ticket holder attended the performance.
Our thanks go to Beth Clarke and the members of the Jamestown Community Band who performed with us; the Jamestown Community Piano Association for the use of its fine piano; the Jamestown Community Theatre for staging and equipment; the School and Fire departments for chairs; the Jamestown Historical Society for access to its archives; the Jamestown Recreation Department for use of the community center; Kim Taylor, Ken Shane, Stephanie
Heelan Cotsonas and all the staff at the Jamestown Press for their help in publicizing our event; and the Central Baptist Church for our rehearsal space.
Thanks to the Met School students and their advisor, Casey Weibust, for stage posters; to Stearns Farms for banner placement; and to Baker’s Pharmacy, Jamestown Hardware and the Secret Garden for ticket sales.
Thanks to Jim Perry, stage manager and sound engineer; Aidan Pepperd, assistant stage manager; Tony Gutierrez, lighting; Ellie Chase, ticket sales and refreshments; and Agnes Filkins, Molly McGregor and Lisa Harris, tick- et sales.
Thanks to all our donors and supporters and to everyone who purchased tickets and braved the weather. It takes a community to produce an event like this, and “JCC on the Air” demonstrated it to the fullest.
