From Dec. 30 to Jan. 6, the Jamestown Police Department responded to 369 calls for service, resulting in 233 security checks of vacant homes, businesses and public buildings.
Police also responded to 12 emergency calls, three animal complaints, 11 parking complaints, and 10 alarms. There were 18 traffic stops, resulting in one citation.
Justin A. Healey, 18, of Hull Street, Jamestown, was charged Dec. 31 for a bench warrant issued from 2nd Division District Court in Newport. According to police, officers aware of the warrant arrested Healey at his home without incident. Healey was transported to the police station where he was processed. Healey was then taken to court for arraignment.
