Winifred (Wildes) “Winx” Munger
Born in New Bedford, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Inez (Shaw) Wildes.
Mrs. Munger received her teaching degree from Rhode Island College. She was a teacher at the Jamestown School from 1949 to 1968, and later taught in the Barrington school system and at Moses Brown before retiring to Leesburg, Fla.
She was a member of the Audubon Society, the Mayflower Society and many nature clubs. She enjoyed music, bird watching, and sailing with Lee on their boat, Laughing Gull.
She leaves two sons, William Munger of Jamestown and Gordon Munger of Virginia; two brothers, Horace B. Wildes of South Dartmouth, Mass., and Glen K. Wildes of Sanford, Maine; two sisters, Mildred (Wildes) Livecchi, also at Sakonnett Bay in Tiverton, and Frances E. (Wildes) Wilber of Little Compton; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brothers Merrick K. Wildes and Richard W. Wildes.
