Jamestown students honored academically

• Samuel Baines was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Baines is a member of the class of 2014 and is majoring in business administration.

• Kevin Barrett was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. Students must achieve a GPA of 3.4 to be recognized.

• Thirty-one Jamestown residents were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of Rhode Island. Students must achieve a GPA of 3.3 to be recognized. Honored were Thomas Scartabello, Allison Farrell, Marshall Vigneault, Courtney Trainer, Amanda Seidler, Hayden Maclean, Catherine Matley, Lauren McDonough, Matthew Baptista and Ramon Ibarlucea.

Also, Allegra Gribble, Fiona Christie, Nicole Ethier, Alexander Tutsch, Benjamin North, Jessica Brown, Mitch MacQueen, Rory Kirby, Jessie Leonard and Sarah Smith.

Also, Shannah Crowell, Molly Sylvia, Rachel Bryer, Rebecca Barchus, Nick Ferguson, John Ragland, Kathryn Bednarczyk, Cam Toppa, Sarah Crowell, Mackenzie Damon and Elisabeth Gregoire,

• Two Jamestown residents were named to the honor roll for the first semester at Rocky Hill School in East Greenwich, R.I. Recognized were 10th-grader Witt Tarantino, high honors, and 11th-grader Julia Hirsch, honors.

• Meredith Lussier-Schenck was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study in New York City.

• Six students were named to the honor roll for the fall term at St. Michael’s Country Day in Newport. They were sixth-graders Jack Hutchison and Faith Siwicki, seventh-graders Sheila Joyce, Colby Richardson and Olivia Supron, and eighth-grader Grace Siwicki. Grace, Sheila and Jack were named to the headmaster’s honor roll.
