From March 25 to March 31, the Jamestown Police Department responded to 383 calls, resulting in 203 security checks of vacant homes, businesses and public buildings.
Police also responded to 11 emergency calls, four animal complaints resulting in one citation, one parking complaint, and seven alarms. Officers conducted 19 traffic stops, resulting in one arrest.
Ayodeji F. Akinjagunla, 34, of York Avenue, Pawtucket, was charged March 29 with driving with a suspended license. According to police, Akinjagunla was pulled over on Conanicus Avenue for failing to stop at a stop sign. Akinjagunla was transported to the police station where he was processed and released. A court date was scheduled for April 4 at 2nd Division District Court.
