Bernard D. Casey
Bernard D. Casey, 80, of Jamestown, formerly of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully March 30, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Audrey Mae (McLaughlin) Casey for 56 years.
Born in Yonkers, N.Y., he was a son of the late John R. and Kathleen (O’Neill) Casey.
Mr. Casey graduated from La Salle Academy in 1951 and attended the University of Rhode Island.
He was the owner of Casey Engineered Maintenance since 1954. He was a founding member of Pro-Link Inc. He was an avid sailor and skier, and enjoyed vacationing and traveling with his family.
He was a man of great faith and was a communicant of the Catholic Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves four children, Michael P. Casey and his sweetheart Mary “Ellie” Stanton of North Kingstown, Heather M. Quimby and her husband Bruce of Exeter, Andrew J. Casey and his wife Ellen of North Kingstown, and Erin H. Piva and her husband William of Jamestown; a sister, Elizabeth M. O’Keefe of North Kingstown; a brother, Richard C. Casey of Jamestown; and two grandchildren, Madison Fisher and Jason Quimby.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial, Thursday, April 3, at 10 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School St., North Kingstown. Burial will be in St. Mark Cemetery, Jamestown.
