Golf tourney benefits state ASPCA chapter

A golf tournament to benefit the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is set for Oct. 14 at the Jamestown Golf Course. Glowing golf balls will be used during the sunset tournament.

The cost is $60 per golfer, which includes greens fee, food and a T-shirt. Pizza, calzones and hot dogs will be served after the round and a cash bar will be available. The tournament is open to the first 72 registered golfers. Glowing golf balls will be available for purchase. Sign-in begins at 5 p.m. with a shotgun start at 6:15 p.m.
