JAMESTOWN PHILOMENIAN LIBRARY ALL PROGRAMS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Mother Goose Time Wednesday, March 8 • 10:15-10:45 a.m. This 30-minute, play-based program features nursery rhymes, finger plays, songs and books for children from birth to 2 years along with a parent or caregiver.

Lego Thursdays March 2 and 9 • 3-4 p.m. Children of all ages are invited to Lego Club. Participants 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult, even if an older sibling is present.


Grades 5-6 Book Club Wednesday, March 8 • 3-4 p.m. The Birchbark House by Louise Erdrich.

Tuesday Matinee Tuesday, March 7 • 1:30-3:30 p.m. Arrival: Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner Rated PG-13. Drama/Mystery/Sci-Fi. 116 minutes (2016). When 12 mysterious spacecraft appear around the world, linguistics professor Louise Banks is tasked with interpreting the language of the apparent alien visitors.

Jamestown Chess Club, with Mark Carnevale. Wednesday • 7-10 p.m. Long-time chess enthusiast Mark Carnevale will host the club at the library every Wednesday through May. Chess improves memory, creativity, strategic and critical thinking for lifelong mental health. Instruction, coaching and mentoring for all levels of experience, open to ages 13 and above. Drop-ins welcome.
