Free concert Saturday evening at rec center

The Everybody Chorus will perform its inaugural concert at 7:30 p.m. March 18 at the recreation center, 41 Conanicus Ave.

The group, which is open to singers of all ages and experiences, is led by B.J. Whitehouse, who also has directed the Jamestown Community Chorus for nearly three decades. The 11-member chorus will sing folk tunes, spirituals and pop songs from around the globe, including “Oh My Darling, Clementine,” “La Bamba” and “Twist & Shout.”

The audience is encouraged to sing along. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.
