Movie on Rocky Point tonight at arts center
A documentary about Rocky Point amusement park will be screened at 7 p.m. March 16 at the Jamestown Arts Center, 18 Valley St.
The historical film, “Tales of Rocky Point Park,” highlights the Warwick landmark that was considered the playground of New England for more than 150 years. After filing for bankruptcy in 1996, the park was abandoned for 15 years while filmmakers documented the remains. Through research, interviews and exploration, they claim to have found evidence that the park was cursed.
Jason Mayoh and Jacob Tasho directed the film. Admission is $10 at the door.
