Olympian reads from newest novel tonight

An award-winning writer from Jamestown will discuss her upcoming book at 7 p.m. April 13 at the library, 26 North Road.

Carol Newman Cronin, a former Olympic sailor who has lived in town since 1996, currently is finishing her fourth novel, “Island Shell Game.” The book is set on a fictional island about 3 miles southeast of Beavertail. Cronin will discuss the genre, her inspiration and the process of publishing. She also will give the audience a sneak peak at the first chapter.

Cronin’s other novels are “Oliver’s Surprise,” “Cape Cod Surprise” and “Game of Sail.” She was honored in 2015 by Boating Writers International.
