Herbert K. Heintz

Herbert K. Heintz, 75, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully May 9, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Charlene (Harkins) Heintz.

Born in Wurzburg, Germany, he was a son of the late Kurt Pfautsch and Charlotte Buetler.

Mr. Heintz was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University, Herb had various positions at Gillette, where he worked for many years before retiring.

He was a board member for the Dumplings Association in Jamestown. He enjoyed tennis, skiing, reading, gardening and crossword puzzles.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his two children and their spouses, Diana and Nicholas Grecco and Christopher and Laura Heintz; a brother, Eugene Heintz of Edmond, Okla.; and three grandchildren, Ryan, Soren and Vera Heintz.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, in St. Mark Church, 60 Narragansett Ave., Jamestown.
