Robot programming next week at library

An interactive workshop on robot coding will begin at 6 p.m. July 6 at the library, 26 North Road.

Representatives from the Rhode Island Computer Museum will teach students to instruct simple robots to move objects in construction challenges. Teens will learn to code via Raspberry Pi, a single-board computer the size of a credit card. Students also will learn to program electronics to make lights blink and motors run.

While the workshop is easy for beginners, there are challenging tasks for experienced programmers. Students should register online or by calling Lisa Sheley at 423-7280.
