Documentary tonight scrutinizes education

An educational documentary produced by a Jamestown man will be screened at 7 p.m. July 6 at the Jamestown Arts Center, 18 Valley St.

Ted Dintersmith, a former venture capitalist, is executive producer of “Most Likely to Succeed,” a feature-length film that examines the history of education in the United States. Through interviews with students at a technological high school in San Diego, the documentary scrutinizes conventional teaching methods in the 21st century.

“Most Likely to Succeed” was screened at the Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for best documentary at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2015. Admission is $10 at the door.
