JAMESTOWN PHILOMENIAN LIBRARY ALL PROGRAMS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Preschool Story Time Monday, July 31 10:15-11 a.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 2 11:15 a.m. to noon

Story time for 2-5-year-olds along with their parents or caregivers, in a 45-minute program featuring books, songs, finger plays, and a craft activity.

Mother Goose Time Wednesday, Aug. 2 10:15-10:45 a.m.

Join us for “Mother Goose Time,” a play-based program featuring nursery rhymes, finger plays, songs and books for children from birth to 2 years along with a parent or caregiver.

Children’s Summer Reading Program – Mad Science Tuesday, Aug. 1 6-7 p.m.

Experiments based on how science has built a better world and the principles and discoveries that science has made to create the world we live in.

Henna Workshop — Thursday, July 27 6-7:30 p.m.

Come and learn all about henna, a beautiful, natural form of body art used throughout the world in cultural celebrations!

T(w)een Summer Reading Program – Mermaid Masterpieces Thursday, Aug. 3 6-7:30 p.m.

Students are taught how to paint a specific painting using step by step instructions that break the painting down in a way that literally anyone can understand. Everyone walks away with his or her own masterpiece

Tuesday Matinee – Ocean Frontiers II Tuesday, Aug. 1 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Off the shores of New England, in a region steeped in old maritime tradition, comes a modern wave of big ships, energy industries, and a changing climate, now testing the limits of an already crowded sea. But in a pioneering trial of far-sighted planning - pushed by blueprints for offshore wind energy - old residents and new are coming together to keep their ocean and livelihoods alive.
