Everybody chorus will rehearse next month

The Jamestown Everybody Chorus will begin rehearsing for its November concert at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 9 at the recreation center, 41 Conanicus Ave.

The choir is led by B.J. Whitehouse, director of the Jamestown Community Chorus, and was founded for singers who are intimidated by the music of formal choruses. The fall concert is titled “Songs Our Families Sang.” Through audience polls, songs were selected that are commonly sung around the house, from Broadway musicals to American standards, including “Edelweiss,” “Some Enchanted Evening” and “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

There are no auditions. The chorus meets each Saturday for one hour. To learn more, call Whitehouse at 423-1574 or visit the community chorus’ website.
