Tip Top Architecture wins U-10 tournament

Led by Teague Andrew and Matthew Moretti, Tip Top Architecture won the U-10 tournament Saturday at Eldred Field during the final week of games for the Jamestown Soccer Association.

Tip Top defeated Salon Balayage in the finals, 2-1. Standouts in the losing effort were Ava Ellis and Logan Sirotin. In the U-10’s third-place game, Brittain Electric blanked Baker’s Pharmacy. Standouts in their 4-0 win were Kellan Woolfe and Kai Wheeler; Jade Infantolino and Brenna Malloy played strong for the losing side.

In the U-12 game, Makenzie Moriarty and Aidan Lynch led Tollgate Orthodontics 1 to a win against the sponsor’s second team, 3-1. Standouts on Team 2 were Jameson Joubert and Henry Nathan. The sportsmanship awards in the U-12 division were given to Eloise Collins and Nathaniel Frary.

In the U-8 age group, standout players were Lucy Brine and Colten Swistak for Jamestown Fire Department; Avey Allen and Isabella Jacobsen on Jamestown Hardware; Piper Smith and Emily Clow for McQuade’s Marketplace; Sienna Barron and Courtney Cadwalader for New England GeoTech; Maggie Reed and Isla Joubert for Slice of Heaven; and Elsie Sutphin and Celia Flaherty for The Secret Garden.

During the U-6 games, standouts were Grace Vieira and Gracen Moriarty for East Ferry Deli; McKenna Welsh and Colton Yarbrough for Fuller Art; Ben Wurzbacher and Audrey Martin for Island Realty; Jane Puerini and Theodore Schipritt for Jamestown Animal Clinic; Ridge Vieiraspears and George Ruggeri for Jamestown Fitness; Reagan Anton and Jackson Green for Ace’s Pizza; Judah Starr and Gracie Lamarche for Live & Learn; and Andrew Silvia and Nathan Silvia for Murphy’s Law.

For their participation in the fall season, U-6 and U-8 players received trophies sponsored by the Jamestown Rotary Club and Ken’s Barbershop; players in the upper divisions received soccer bags from Coastal Dental and Latitude Inc.
