JAMESTOWN PHILOMENIAN LIBRARY ALL PROGRAMS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

The library will close Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 5 p.m. and be closed Thursday, Nov. 23 for Thanksgiving Day

Mother Goose Time Wednesday, Nov. 22 10:15-10:45 a.m. Join us for “Mother Goose Time,” a play-based program featuring nursery rhymes, finger plays, songs and books for children from birth to 2 years along with a parent or caregiver.

Preschool Story Time Monday, Nov. 20 10:15-11 a.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 22 11:15 a.m. to noon Featuring books, songs, finger plays, and a craft activity. this 45-minute program is for 2-5-year-olds along with a parent or caregiver.

Locked in the Library: An Escape Room Experience for Tweens and Teens! Thursday, Nov. 16 6-7:30 p.m. Players are locked in the Meeting Hall and must uncover clues and hidden objects to escape. This program is for kids in grades 5 and up. Registration is necessary and space is limited to eight. Please register online.

Is Anybody Listening? Sunday, Nov. 19 3-5 p.m. Paula Caplan grew up listening to -- but not remembering -- stories her beloved father, Jerome Caplan, told yearly about being Captain of an all-Black battery in The Battle of the Bulge. Her bewilderment about her inability to remember those stories led her to listen to hundreds of veterans. This documentary is their account. Tuesday Matinee – 12 Angry Men – Tuesday, Nov. 21 1:30-3:30 p.m. A jury holdout attempts to prevent a miscarriage of justice by forcing his colleagues to reconsider the evidence.
