Holiday market opens at arts center Friday

More than four dozen artists will showcase their work during a holiday market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Jamestown Arts Center, 18 Valley St.

Among the artists who will have items for sale include ceramicist Jillian Barber, jeweler Didi Suydam, painter Shirley Bell and aromatherapist Kim Ferguson. There also will be a coinciding market showcasing work by emerging teenage artists, including gift bags by Marilyn Bowen and jewelry from Erin Brophy. Developmentally disabled artists from Looking Upwards also will be featured.

An opening reception is scheduled from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Dec. 8. Admission is free to both events.
