Coastal expert will talk about climate change

The executive director of the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council will discuss climate change at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 10 at the library, 26 North Road.

Grover Fugate is a conservationist who has been head of the agency since 1987. The council is charged with protecting Rhode Island’s shoreline, including all permitting within 500 feet of the Atlantic Ocean. He will discuss current predictions related to the rising sea level. Fugate will primarily address implications for Jamestown.
