THE LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED SUNDAY, DEC. 31 AND MONDAY, JAN. 1 FOR THE NEW YEAR’S HOLIDAY

Lego Thursdays Thursday, Jan. 4 3-5 p.m. Children of all ages are invited to attend a one-hour session of the informal Lego Club. We have a theme each week. Lego creations are then displayed in the library. Participants 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Grades 1-2 Book Club Wednesday, Jan. 3 3-4 p.m. We will be discussing Ivy + Bean by Annie Barrows and Sophie Blackall “When seven-year-old Bean plays a mean trick on her sister, she finds unexpected support for her antics from Ivy, the new neighbor, who is less boring than Bean first suspected.”

VACATION WEEK EARLY AFTERNOON MOVIE!

Thursday, Dec. 28 1:30-4 p.m. Leap! “An orphan girl dreams of becoming a ballerina and flees her rural Brittany for Paris, where she passes for someone else and accedes to the position of pupil at the Grand Opera house.” Rated PG

Friday, Dec. 29 1:30-4 p.m Despicable Me 3. “Gru meets his long-lost charming, cheerful, and more successful twin brother Dru who wants to team up with him for one last criminal heist.” Rated PG

Tuesday Matinee – The Glass Castle — Tuesday, Jan. 2 1:30-4 p.m. PG-13 | 2h 7 min |Drama | 2017 Brie Larson, Woody Harrelson, Naomi Watts. A woman reflects on her unconventional upbringing at the hands of her artsy, nonconformist parents. Now married to a man who works in finance in New York, she faces criticism from her parents that she’s betrayed their values.
