No need to publicly shame Feinstein

To the editor:

How sad it is that someone in a position of power in Jamestown should find it appropriate to publicly name-call anyone.

One may not like his style, one may hold a grudge about something the man did many years ago and one may not want his name on any of our buildings, but for decades Alan Shawn Feinstein has contributed both financial and moral support to countless grateful individuals and institutions in the state of Rhode Island. I believe that for the sake of civility in our community, a public apology is in order.
