JAMESTOWN PHILOMENIAN LIBRARY ALL PROGRAMS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

The library will be closed Jan. 15 in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and have a 2 p.m. delayed opening Jan.18

Mother Goose Time Wednesday, Jan. 17 10:15-10:45 a.m. Join us for “Mother Goose Time,” a play-based program featuring nursery rhymes, finger plays, songs and books for children from birth to 2 years along with a parent or caregiver.

Preschool Story Time Wednesday, Jan. 17 11:15 a.m. to noon Featuring books, songs, finger plays, and a craft activity. this 45-minute program is for 2-5 year olds along with a parent or caregiver.

Open Crafting Thursday, Jan. 11 6 p.m. For kids in grades 5 and Up: Dip into the library’s craft supplies to make the creation of your choice. Craft supplies include magnets, paint, Mod Podge, Sculpey, beads, specialty paper and more! Help Miss Lisa start the new year with an empty craft closet! Pizza will be served. Please be sure to register online as space is limited.

Grades 5-6 Book Club — Beyond the Bright Sea by Lauren Wolk Wednesday, Jan. 17 3-4 p.m. “Twelve-year-old Crow has lived her entire life on a tiny, isolated piece of the starkly beautiful Elizabeth Islands in Massachusetts. Tuesday Matinee – Stronger —Tuesday, Jan. 16 1:30-3:30 p.m. Stronger is the inspiring real life story of Jeff Bauman, an ordinary man who captured the hearts of his city and the world to become a symbol of hope after surviving the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.
