Piano recital Sunday at Episcopal church

Two foreign musicians will perform on a single piano at 2 p.m. March 4 at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 87 Narragansett Ave.

The free recital will feature South Korean Angela Kim and German Clemens Teufel. Along with collaborative compositions by Mozart and Schubert, Kim, an Eastman School of Music graduate, will play Stravinsky’s “Infernal Dance” from “Firebird Suite” and two Chopin nocturnes. Teufel’s solo program includes Debussy’s “The Joyful Island” and two etudes by Chopin. He released his debut solo album in 2017 with music by American composers Howard Hanson and George Gershwin.

The concert will be performed on a 7-foot Schimmel grand, which is administered by the Jamestown Community Piano Association. Donations will be accepted for maintenance. A reception will follow in the parish hall.
