Chorus is performing free concert Saturday

Members of the Jamestown Everybody Chorus will perform during a free concert at 7 p.m. March 10 at the Conanicut Grange, 6 West St.

The choir, directed by B.J. Whitehouse, is an offshoot of the Jamestown Community Chorus. It was created for townspeople who want to sing in a less formal setting. The concert, titled “Heroes and Heroines,” will feature songs about people who have influenced the world, including Harriet Tubman and Martin Luther King Jr.

The performance will include “The Emperor Is Naked Todayo” by Pete Seeger, “Moonlight Serenade” by Glenn Miller, “I’ll Follow the Sun” by the Beatles and “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright” by Bob Dylan.
