Listen to Celtic tunes during Sunday concert

A side project of the Rhode Island-based band Pendragon will perform at 3 p.m. March 11 at the library, 26 North Road.

The Exiles will play dance tunes, waltzes and airs as part of the free music series sponsored by the Friends of the Jamestown Philomenian Library. The band features Bob Drouin on fiddle and banjo, Torrin Ryan on uilleann pipes and whistle, and Jay Gilbert on guitar. The band performs tunes from Ireland, Scotland and French Canada, along with original music written in those traditions.

As a bonus for Celtic music fans, the Exiles will play alongside Barrington native Kevin Doyle for this free performance. He is a National Endowment for the Arts National Heritage Fellow. He achieved this honor as a dancer devoted to old-style Irish step dance and American tap dance.
