Weekly yoga classes planned for seniors

Weekly yoga classes for senior citizens are being offered at 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Conanicut Grange, 6 West St.

The class, titled “Gentle Yoga for Greater Mobility,” is being led by Diana McCallister, a certified instructor with more than 15 years of experience. She guides students in a nurturing atmosphere through gentle yoga poses to ease arthritic pain and stiffness. These exercises also improve balance and relieve tension. This class focuses on increasing overall mobility.

The class is appropriate to senior citizens of all ages and abilities. Beginners are welcome. The cost is $12 per class. Call McCallister at 423-1288 to learn more.
