Have separate votes on three bond issues

To the editor:

The Jamestown Press dated April 5 states the town councilors have decided “to merge library, clubhouse and schools into a single vote” on the Nov. 6 ballot.

I cannot believe this is fair to the voters of Jamestown. We should be able to vote on each item individually based on the merits of each issue. They should be addressed and voted upon separately.

Under the proposed system, if you feel strongly about one item and vote yes, you are voting yes on the other items even if you don’t want them.

In my estimation, to commingle these three important issues may not truly reflect the wishes of the voting population on each item.
