John F. Cullinan Jr.

John F. Cullinan Jr., 65, of North Kingstown, passed away suddenly April 7, 2018.

He was the beloved husband of Dawn (Lyon) Cullinan for 40 years. John was a devoted family man and the father of two daughters, Tristana and Cahalan. He leaves behind his oldest, Tristana Galle, along with her husband Arek and children Ruby, Zeke, Georgia and Nate, of Jamestown; and his youngest, Cahalan Sullivan, her husband Kevin and their daughter Sonora, of East Greenwich.

John was known by family and friends as a generous, hard-working and kind soul with a humorous, unique outlook on life. He loved the ocean and time spent at the beach. John enjoyed cooking for family — he was famous for his linguine and clams recipe. He had a lifelong passion for music.

Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late John F. and Alice (Nasif) Cullinan. He attended St. Francis College in Biddeford, Maine.

John was the co-owner and operator of RI Petroleum Equipment Company for more than 40 years.

John had four siblings, Kathy Feeley and her husband James, of Pascoag; Patrick Cullinan and his wife Marilyn, of Pawtucket; Barbara Fontes and her husband Kenneth, of Pawtucket; and Michael Cullinan and his wife Donna, of Pawtucket. As a final act of generosity John donated to the New England Organ Bank.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours from 5-8 p.m. Friday with words of remembrance at 6:30 p.m. at the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown.
