Arts center is hosting film festival tonight

Selections from the Southeast New England Film, Music & Arts Festival will be screened at 6:30 p.m. April 26 at the Jamestown Arts Center, 18 Valley St.

The event will open with a musical performance by Lindsay Adler, a folk composer who showcases a repertoire of instruments, including the lyre, dulcimer, harp, hurdy-gurdy, bouzouki and guitar. She has appeared on National Public Radio.

The concert will be followed by a film screening. Among the seven selections is “Trap Fishing,” an eight-minute American film about one of the last remaining trap fishing families in Rhode Island, and “Game,” a 15-minute film about a new kid who makes an impression during high school basketball tryouts. The movie stars three-time NBA champion Rick Fox.

Admission is $10 at the door. Tickets also can be purchased online at the arts center’s website.
