Lesa suffered many years with her addiction. The same can be said for those who loved her.

Heroin does not discriminate. It is not biased. It does not care if you are black, white, rich or poor.

It does not care where you live — in a small town or in an inner city. It consumes the mind and very soul of those in its grasp. And it breaks the hearts of all who are connected to them; of all who love them.

Lesa, your family and friends struggled mightily to find the right words when you were using. We struggled to find the right path. But you were loved very much, even as our best efforts failed.

The pain for you is finally over, and your soul is set free.

For the rest of us, we shall hold the memory of you as a little girl, before addiction took you away. You will live in our hearts forever.

We loved and love you,

The Turillo Family
