Ribbon-cutting today at new playground

The town will host a ribboncutting ceremony for the community playground at 3 p.m. June 21 at 26 North Road.

The playground was built in honor of Ryan Bourque, a Jamestown police officer who was killed by a drunken driver in May 2016.

The free event will feature music, hot dogs, watermelon and soft drinks. The playground features a 28-foot-tall lighthouse structure with slides, a 50-foot zip line, a pirate ship for toddlers and a pyramid made from climbing cargo nets.
