Solar, water issues must be addressed

To the editor:

I have been thinking lately we need to update our community in an effort to improve maintenance and our water supply. This could be done with the help of the Jamestown public works, fire and police departments.

I have heard our town has been changing for the better environmentally, and I am more than willing to be a part of the team. I know the maintenance and security provided by our public works team is obvious, and our local police has done an excellent job of helping the town be safe and secured.

Water issues have been on peoples’ minds lately, as we don’t have enough water for our gardens and lawns.

The last issue on my agenda is to ask the town council about adding solar panels to local shops, restaurants, houses, apartment, businesses and churches. It would be better than what we have now because it’s:

1) Better for environment

2) Better for community

3) Better for the economy

In conclusion, I would like to ask residents for your help and support in sharing these insights with everyone who lives here. I would like to encourage all of you to educate yourself about solar heating, and then perhaps we could bring this to the town council.
