Upcoming exhibit will feature bay paintings

The Conanicut Island Art Association will host an opening reception for its summer exhibit from 5:30-7:30 p.m. May 30 at Town Hall, 93 Narragansett Ave.

The show, titled “Coastal Rhode Island,” will feature paintings and photographs with a focus on Narragansett Bay. The juror for the show is Rhode Island painter Craig Masten, a graduate of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts who teaches at the Providence Art Club. His work is regularly shown at the Spring Bull Gallery in Newport and Five Main Gallery in Wickford.

The free reception will include refreshments and the prize winners will be announced.
