Korean War veteran Manny Neronha, left, was a passenger in Don Richardson’s historic military vehicle during the procession. Richardson was a veteran of the Allied occupation of Japan following World War II.
Mike White, in the wheelchair, leads the parade from Watson and Lawn avenues. White, a Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient, was the keynote speaker at the East Ferry ceremony.
Horse-drawn wagons were among the marchers.
