The three Christian churches in Jamestown will complement Santa’s visit by hosting their Christmas fairs Saturday in conjunction with the village-wide celebration.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 99 Narragansett Ave., shoppers can browse the church for locally decorated wreaths, themed gift baskets, ornaments and decoupage seashells. There also will be an artisan table with homemade crafts and a children’s table for kids to shop for their parents and grandparents. Lunch will be available, and a table of baked goods will feature pies, cakes and cookies.
From 9 a.m. to noon at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 87 Narragansett Ave., the congregation will celebrate Christmas in the thrift shop with a bake sale by the Baking & Country Kitchen cooks. Conversation with the Rev. Christa Moore-Levesque will be in the parish hall with free cocoa.
At St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 60 Narragansett Ave., shoppers can browse baked goods, greenery, jewelry, themed baskets and handmade items from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be cash raffles, and the parish also will host a Christmas yard sale.
