Dinners raise $5,646 for Ukraine relief

Keeping an eye on Jamestown

The Friday night dinner fundraising events at Angels Kitchen to raise money to help Ukrainian war victims raised $5,646 — almost double the goal of $3,000.

The money will be donated to World Central Kitchen, Salam Lab, and www.cashforrefugees.org.

Dave Reardon, a volunteer with the fire department, wrote in to say “thank you to all who came and dined and donated to this effort and to guest servers Andrea von Hohenleiten, Mike Delessio, Jen Kinzel, Tony Rafanelli, Land Courtney Hay, David Reardon, Susan Reardon, Karen Rafanelli, Lisa Tuttle, Jim Bryer, Lisa Bryer and Charlene Hainsworth.”

He also gave thanks to Kerry Sheehan, owner of Rum Runner, for donating T-shirts for the servers and to John and Lisa from Angels Kitchen for making this fundraiser possible.

For those who’d still like to contribute to the Ukraine relief fund, please feel free to contact Jim Bryer at the fire station.
