Film set in Rockies on big screen Tuesday

“Land,” a 2021 selection for the Sundance Film Festival, will be screened from 1:30-4 p.m. Aug. 3 at the library, 28 North Road.

Starring Robin Wright in her directorial debut, the adventure-drama film is about a bereaved woman who seeks out a new life by living off the grid in Wyoming. In the aftermath of an unfathomable event, Edee, portrayed by Wright, retreats to the unforgiving wilds of the Rocky Mountains, and must find a way to live again after a hunter brings her back from the brink of death.

The PG-13 film co-stars Demian Bichir and Kim Dickins. The event is part of the weekly matinees screened every Tuesday afternoon at the library.
