Linda B. (Craven) Barton, 75, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, April 30, 2022.
She was the loving wife of the late Joseph D. Barton. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Richard L. and Rose M. (Sears) Craven.
Linda was employed by Rhode Island Hospital, where she worked as a licensed nurse on medical floors and in the radiology department for 35-plus years before retiring. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Joe, and spending time at the beach, especially in Bermuda , Florida, Jamestown and Truro, Cape Cod, as well as skiing in New Hampshire. She was a true caretaker and will be deeply missed.
Linda was the loving sister of Stephen J. Craven (wife, Diane), Michael T. Craven, Rep. Robert E. Craven Sr (wife, Susan), Thomas P. Craven (wife, Karen), Kathy C. Wright (husband, Rick), and the late Richard C. Craven. Linda also is survived by 23 nieces and nephews, and six godchildren.
Linda was the caring stepmother of Karen E. Hayes (husband, John) of Cumberland, Kerry E. Flamand of Jamestown and Kristen E. Barton of North Kingstown; grandmother of Ashley Garland (husband, Robert), Jennifer Hayes, Lindsay Rotondo (husband, Derek), Emily LaBelle (husband, Anthony), and Joseph Martinelli (wife, Ally); and great-grandmother of Joshua Garland, Samantha Garland, Noelle Rotondo, Ezekiel LaBelle and Jameson Martinelli.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Amanda Mayo.
A visitation will be conducted from 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2022, in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in the funeral home. Her burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
