A photo of Tramp, the dog that lived on Grinnell Street in the 1970s that thought he was a mailman. Every day he traveled to the post office to meet mailman Bill McCarthy. Tramp would watch his partner sort and gather the mail, and then accompanied him on his daily rounds. Do you have a story about your dog that you’d like to share? E-mail it, with a photo if possible, to [email protected] before May 31. This includes stories about dogs during the coronavirus pandemic. The three best stories will be published in The Jamestown Press in June. They all will be collected in the Jamestown Historical Society archives. The impetus for this project is because April is the month to register dogs in Jamestown.
