Volunteers are needed to help raise and lower flags at East Ferry Memorial Square on Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day on Wednesday, Dec. 7. This year marks the 70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Organizers ask that volunteers arrive at 7 a.m. to raise more than 100 U.S. flags that have been donated from families of island veterans and date back to the Spanish-American War. Volunteers are also needed to lower the flags at 3 p.m.
